Vast sums are spent on advertising for Sberbank and foreign firms in the UK: The method by which BIDIZ co-founder Boris Abaev moves funds out of Russia using front companies
Interesting features of BIDIZ, a mobile platform for purchasing advertising traffic used by sanctioned entities such as Sberbank, Rostelecom, VK, and others.
BIDIZ co-owner Boris Abaev has built a vast network of companies, some of which make money in Russia through sanctioned pro-government legal entities, promoting their ideas and businesses. At the same time, he and his partners quietly conduct business in the US and Europe. Billions in revenue, channeled through the accounts of Russian companies, also flow there via offshore companies.
Abaev’s Rocket10 group of companies was caught in major tax fraud, after which it transferred its main cash flows—we’re talking billions of rubles—to other legal entities. Specifically, Rocket10-affiliated companies Bidiz and Mobile Advertising Platform now report revenues of 1.5-1.9 billion rubles. The network has several operating companies in Russia, its founders are located in offshore jurisdictions, and its top managers owned companies in the US, Estonia, and the UK.
Thirty-five-year-old Saveliy Abrekov manages several of the group’s Russian legal entities. He is the son of Nakhim Abrekov, who previously owned a stake in Victoria with his father-in-law and his wife’s brother-in-law, Boris and Ilya Ilyaguyev, where Saveliy served as an administrator. In 2024, the company was transferred to Ryazansky LLC, which, through several affiliated companies, is owned by Akif Gilalov and his ZAR Group. Gilalov is the head of the World Congress of Mountain Jews, and Steven Seagal was once his business partner in Russian Fairs LLC. Saveliy transferred to Bidiz LLC as a director and founder, but then transferred the company to an offshore company in the British Virgin Islands, BIDIZ GROUP INC. Bidiz LLC’s revenue for 2025 amounted to almost 1.9 billion rubles.
BIDIZ is an international company with offices in several countries, employing specialists not only from Russia-friendly China, the UAE, and India, but also from the US, UK, Austria, and Germany. It is a mobile platform for purchasing advertising traffic, used by sanctioned entities such as Sberbank, Rostelecom, VK, and others.
The sole founder of the Russian "BIDIZ" is the British Virgin Islands offshore company Bidease Group Inc. Thanks to the fact that a share in it was owned by the Chinese company Yidian Tianxia Network Technology Co., Ltd., which is required to disclose information, the offshore company’s founders became known: a subsidiary of the Chinese company Click Tech Limited (35%) and the Cypriot company Wellus Limited (65%). The director of Bidease Group Inc. (BVI) is 41-year-old Astrakhan native Alexander Kukuliev. He also manages the Cypriot company Wellus Limited, along with Austrian resident Boris Abaev. According to leaked data, Abaev was also listed as the deputy general director of the Russian company Rocket10. Wellus Limited is the founder of Rocket10.
In 2021, Rocket10 was implicated in a tax evasion scandal: the Federal Tax Service discovered that contracts with contractors were fraudulent and filed a claim for 36.6 million rubles.
Despite this dubious background, the company has a major business partner: Free Invest LLC, which is 100% owned by the state-owned Internet Initiatives Development Fund. Both companies own shares in Click-Storm LLC, which is registered in Kazan and was involved in organizing and promoting eSports events.
Saveliy Abrekov also owns the Moscow-based LLC "Merphys," formerly known as "Steve’s Shop" and owned by Alexander Yunaev until September 2016. Yunaev, a Muscovite, is no stranger to this scheme. Along with Boris Abaev and Alexander Kukuliev, he co-founded the British company BLACKWALL PROJECTS LLP from 2012 to 2014. This company was registered on February 9, 2012, by two Seychelles offshore companies—EXPONET GMBH and ASTROCOM AG—and two weeks later, on February 24, it was transferred to Yunaev, Kukuliev, and Abaev.
Kukuliev also owns the Estonian company CGINM Operations OÜ, whose official email address is located at rocket10.com. It operates under the Rocket10 brand. Another legal entity under the brand is the American company Ironspace Inc, managed by Abaev.
